- Other duties performed during each home game included: carried all player equipment down to the dugout, filled and took water jugs and towels down to the dugout, placed food out in the clubhouse before and after games, did laundry in the clubhouse, and, on occasion, warmed up starting pitchers before games. I also communicated with the umpires during game days, to include supplying them throughout the game with playable baseballs, and water.
