I entered the law enforcement field in August of 2006 when I was hired by the Paulsboro Police Department, which sponsored me through the police academy. During the academy and the few months I worked on the street in Paulsboro, I was able to gain a substantial amount of police experience in a short period of time. In July of 2007, I accepted a position as a Class II officer In Harrison Township to serve and work for the community that I live and grew up in. In August of 2007, I was promoted to the rank of Patrolman, a title which I held until I was promoted to my current role of Sergeant in September of 2016.
During my 19 years in the field, I feel as though I have proven that I am a confident, hardworking leader, with a strong will to improve myself and what surrounds me. I work very well in a team environment and have the ability to see the big picture and goals of not only the police department, but the community as a whole, and apply them to my life goals. My family has been entrenched in the roots of this community for decades, and I take great pride in knowing that I have the opportunity to not only improve the police department by taking more of a leadership role, but it would also allow me to further work towards the betterment of the quality of life for the entire community.
Through all of my training and experiences (see highlights below), I have held a liability-led mindset, prioritizing training, safety, and mitigating risk. As a result of this, I take great pride in the training portion of this profession so that those objectives can be met.
