- The manager of the microservices team tasked with rebuilding the TechStyleOS $1 billion e-commerce platform, powering Fabletics, SavageX, and JustFab, using highly performant and scalable microservice architecture.
- Responsible for leading the technical architecture, design, and development of the TechStyleOS Ecom microservices to increase reliability, scalability, and reduce operational costs, utilizing a mix of Node.js, Go, and .NET, both on-prem and in the cloud.
- Tasked with managing the microservice roadmap of our three client brands (Fabletics, SavageX, and JustFab), to correctly prioritize and deliver technical projects on time, within budget, and with a high degree of success. Examples include the migration of JustFab to a microservices-powered shopping cart, JustFab’s enhanced membership program, the launch of multiple sub-brands under Fabletics (Yitty, Scrubs), and utilizing AI-enhanced moderation for SavageX personalizations.
- Worked with the project management team to perform a quarterly review of projects, priorities, and goals, and align technical projects to key business objectives and KPIs.
- Reported directly to the VP of Engineering, detailing the technical approach for features, as well as aligning the technical team on the long-term vision and roadmap.
- Responsible for coordinating and running quarterly load tests with the leads of all TechstyleOS engineering teams to ensure the performance testing of critical systems and identify areas of improvement.
- Implemented a number of changes to engineering best practices to increase code velocity, morale, and engagement, improve on-time delivery (99%), and still significantly reduce team costs (15%).
- Worked with team members to identify areas of growth and form development plans using SMART goals, aligning key objectives to support team and business unit KPIs.
- Led the team to design the winning project of an internal artificial intelligence hackathon, tasked with identifying opportunities to leverage AI to meet key business goals, and improve customer experience. Then, I worked to execute and deliver on the concept to production.
- Lead a number of enhancements to the DevOps process, including unit testing, observability, anomaly detection, automated regression testing, and Blue-green deployment, to reduce risk, downtime, and improve reliability.
