I have grown the events hosted by Irvine High School over the past 20 years into Nationally recognized competitions. I have help to provide the necessary funds to properly manage the track team and up until my departure from cross country in 2024. These events have also provided opportunities for other programs on campus to raise funds to better facilitate various financial needs.

Accomplishments

  • Expanded program track program from less than 60 student athletes to an average of 140. Increased the boys cross country program from 10 to an average of 40.
  • Directed the Track and Field program to three consecutive league champions on the boys side. The first of such an accomplishment in the schools 50 years of existence.
  • Coached a athletes that received All-American status in multiple principles/events
  • Facilitated the creation of the Irvine/ASICS Distance carnival, now in its 15th year. Starting with 10 schools and growing it into over 60, making it one of the biggest track meets in Orange County.
  • Facilitated the growth of the Irvine/ASICS Track and Field Invitational from a one day event with 15 school into a two day event featuring over 70 schools from states across the continental United States and beyond. Help secure a working relationship with ASICS, that continues to benefit multiples sports at Irvine High School.
