Responsible for start up, shut down and maintenance of refrigeration equipment throughout the facility. This is a list of equipment I'm responsible for;

• 3 Glycol Rooftop Chillers
• Kitchen exhaust hoods
• Gas fed heaters used for facilities kitchens
• Over 100 Daikin Package Rooftop Air Handlers and split units used for heating and cooling
• Fire suppression system including pre-actions, dry pipe, and wet pipe systems powered by nitrogen and corresponding centrifugal water pumps.
• Air compressors that generates air for house air and show air along with pneumatic controls.
• Emerson Liebert units used for IDF and switchgear rooms
• Generators used for back-up and emergency power with corresponding fuel oil tanks and pumps that feed the generators.
• Building Management System using Siemens interface

Responsible for start up, monitoring, and shut down of Chiller Module equipment including :

• 6 York electrical centrifugal Chillers - All rated for 800 tons.
• 6 supplementing plate & frame heat exchangers- All rated for 800 tons
• 6 forced draft Cooling towers sitting on top of 180,000 gallon reservoir
• Collected and tested water samples from cooling towers, chilled water and other systems.

Responsible for equipment in Data Halls such as:

• 60 Emerson Air Handlers used to maintain steady temperature and humidity for data storage cabinets- rated for 50 tons each.
• Reo-Pure Rollover Osmosis water purification system for humidification injectors used to maintain desired Dew-Point Temperature.

Various other responsibilities but not limited to -

• Monitor fuel oil system used for back-up generators.
• Inspected systems, equipment and components to determine maintenance needs.
• Conducted preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance actions.
• Reported to shift supervisor on production status, problems and deviations.
• Observed all safety rules and regulations and encouraged others to do same, effectively reducing work-related injuries.

Responsible for start up, monitoring, and shut down of Central Mechanical Plant equipment including :

• 3 Murray steam driven centrifugal chillers - All rated for 1600 tons
• 3 Carrier electric driven centrifugal chillers - two 1400 tons and one 800 tons.

Other equipment and responsibilities that I am responsible for:

• Operation & maintenance of Smith Cast Iron Section Boiler MAWP @ 15 Psi,
• 11 Standard Air Handling Units.
• Chemical testing of condenser water used for cool tower system, Reflective Pool & Plaza Fountain.
• Maintain Record keeping for FDNY daily, weekly, monthly & yearly requirements. Performed required inspections, testing & maintenance of wet & dry fire suppression systems.
• Meet with contractors performing repairs and ensure work is completed. Utilize fail-safe procedures during major critical incidents such as: blackouts, floods, & major storms

Responsible for start up, monitoring & shut down of Central Utility Plant Equipment including:

• 3 Murray Trane boilers - Two 70,000 lb/hr & one 110,000 lb/hr
• 3 York steam turbine driven centrifugal compressors - Two 2,500 tons & one 3,000 tons
• 1 York hot water driven absorber with a capacity of 1,200 tons.
• Performed chemical testing, & maintain chemical balance of water treatment on various systems.
• Responsible for receiving of #2 fuel oil deliveries.
• Assisted Operator & Senior Operator in start-up & shut-down of cogeneration plant.
• Conducted Lockout/Tagout procedures.

• Responsible for lubing, greasing, minor maintenance of production machinery necessary for printing & publishing the Newspaper.
• Assisted Engineers & Mechanics with facilities HVAC & auxiliary equipment.
• Assisted in conducting testing for back-up generators.
• Conducted temperature & humidity readings within facility, which resulted in necessary adjustments to rooftop units.
