RAILWAY OPERATIONS MANAGER
- Administrator of SRC’s applicable FRA submissions.
- Schedule train operations as needed to fulfill the needs of Guest Services, Freight, and Mechanical departments.
- Create and issue monthly T&E crew schedules and Timetable Train schedules for 56 T&E employees.
- Provide guidance to Railroad Testing Officers (RTO), Designated Supervisors of Locomotive Engineers (DSLE), and operational department staff.
- Oversee Operating Rulebooks and Timetable revisions as necessary.
- Schedule and conduct safety and recurring operating practices training.
- Maintain working knowledge of the operation of historic and modern rail equipment.
- Fulfill the requirements of Locomotive Engineer Certification, Conductor Certification, and Operational testing programs in accordance with FRA regulations and SRC program standards.
- Investigate alleged violations of FRA regulations and SRC rules/policies. Recommend disciplinary measures as needed.
- Adhere to and enforce SRC safety guidelines and Company policies.
- Recruit, onboard, and provide for the training of Team Members.
- Maintain SRC Operations Training program.
- Remain available for contact outside of working hours for emergencies.
- Responsible for SRC’s daily rail operations.
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating train operations to meet the needs of Guest Services, Freight, and Mechanical departments.
- Coordinates training, promotion, and operational testing of train operations staff in accordance with FRA regulations and SRC policies.
