  • Working at a Honda supplier called TS Tech.
  • 37th year with the company. Started in Quality as a line inspector and have worked up in the company. Currently in Management in the Quality Department. Over these years, worked in many area's of Quality. Working with Quality Reps at Honda. Representing TS Tech working Honda. Establish Quality Systems and assisted in ISO certification with a consultant working onsite. Set up testing procedures, Work with TS Tech's corporate quality, testing, and design departments constantly working to improve quality, efficiency. Work with TS Tech purchasing department to come up with Va Ve Cost down ideas. Work with suppliers to improve quality, work through issues as it affects TS Tech's production lines. The 3 highest impact suppliers to TS Tech. Support them and in making a Quality Improvement plan. Once approved then visit the suppliers to see how the Suppliers are doing to the plan. Worked so many new model launches over 37 years. Multiple Honda Plants.
  • At beginning, New Models was every 2 years. Currently have multiple New Models at same time. Also, at beginning most of TS Tech's raw material came from Japan. TS Tech worked with New Suppliers, and Honda to localize to domestic content. Honda came to TS Tech and requested a dream team established in New Model. Try to prevent issues before Mass Production started. Honda and TS Tech myself selected as New Model Manager to oversee schedules and Honda requirements. Worked with Honda New Model Program Leaders using NMR process. At beginning of TS Tech company, teams would go to TS Tech Japan and Honda New Model Center before tooling was shipped to USA. Set up trial lines. Confirm parts in inspection fixtures. New Model Department made Inspection fixture concepts and approved by Honda New Model. Once completed, certify fixtures. Visited Japan over 20 times. Also, Hong Kong and China. Traveled to Mexico. Visit sister plants, Honda De Mexico, and suppliers. Also traveled to Canada for sister plants, Honda Canada Plants 1 & 2 and suppliers. Being in Management also helps to make business plans for departments, Also, with other departments, Work with Corporate or Headquarters in Japan with goals and targets. Management day to day activities, manpower, overtime, communicate with other departments, pass over notes to next shift. Worked with all levels of management at Honda, TS Tech and Suppliers Top Management. Assigned to work at a sister plant in Circleville Ohio for 4 years. Trimold LLC had over 40 injection machines. Over the years, interviewed, hired all levels of associates in the company. TS Tech follows Honda schedules shutdown in December and 4th of July week. This allowed us to do PM's, calibrate equipment. Run trials to improve quality, put in new equipment or assembly lines. Honda has circle teams that have suppliers compete against each other. TS Tech plants would get together once a year and compete against each other. Assigned to increase the number of teams and teach them how to go through steps of solving issues, making presentations and presenting to plant management. Winners would go to Honda or Corporate to present.

I love going Fishing with my grandchildren. Teaching them how to setup their rod and reel. Bating their hook. Taking the fish off. 

I have 2 daughters in Kentucky. They are both married and have children. We try to get together as much as we can. This year we went on a Cruise to the caribbean. We also took a short vacation to Top Sail Beach, North Carolina. We also, go to the zoo, children's museum, COSI. We always make everything fun. I like to say make memories.

My wife and daughters like to go to Music venues like Louder then Life, Sonic Temple. The son in laws and I stay home with the kids. 

Then the men go out for 3 or 4 days visiting Casinos in Indiana, We have been to New Orleans and Michigan / Canada. West Virginia. We always make the best of our trips.
