  • Implemented a tool crib system to allow for a faster set up process and ensure there was no down time due to not having tooling. I did this by creating an item inventory system on Excel and designating one person to pick the tooling to ensure inventory was accurate at all times.
  • Used SolidCAM to create programs for new prototype parts on Millturn machinery. I also improved on processes on certain jobs where improvements could have been made on.
  • In charge of 6 multi-axis Lathes in which my duties was to make sure all jobs, hot or not, was being set up and finished. I made sure each machine was running smoothly and provided assistance when something went wrong.
  • Reviewed production goals every morning to make sure we were not falling behind. If something was becoming a problem, I would try to figure out the problem, document it, and review findings with my team of machinist and supervisor so they are aware of the problem and the potential solution to it for the future.
  • Constant communication with engineers to improve on certain processes and ideas such as easier measuring method for an in process inspection, new ideas to minimize a program's cycle time, or even being able to complete a part in one machine instead of multiples.
  • Trained new employees on our CNC lathe/mill techniques, in process inspection, and basically how we do things, fostering a culture of teamwork and skillsharing.
