My philosophy has always been number one have fun and number two have fun while preparing the team to win games...while ALWAYS putting the players safety as a priority. Along the way always play hard and most importantly do not disrespect the game or anyone associated with it. Winning is important for sure...BUT winning and losing isn't as important as the athletes learning the fundamentals and becoming not only better players but better young individuals on and off the court too.
I was the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. My emphasis wasn't only on winning but creating the right culture on and off the court. Being the leader I also believed in building relationships with the players and teaching them principals that they could not only use on the court but in life as well.
