Summary

I am proud to utilize my professional skills and programming / data analytics background in partnership with the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa.

Personal Information

Since I was a small child, innovation and development has been a strong passion. Finding new and innovative ways to improve even simple household items has been a part of my daily routine. My first memory of this interest was watching my father express frustration with a lightbulb that had the wrong size cap / base. I remember feeling that a simple adapter for the different sized bases would create a universal fit while effectively conducting the electricity. This is now a common practice and used daily. My education, leadership experience and training in the introduction of new perspectives, managing change, and solving problems form the basis of my innovation skills.

A few examples of my passion for innovation include the creation and publishing of Fanning the Fire (a book focused on motivation in the workplace), formation of ShopRiteLive.com (an online marketing company - 2007 and 2008), holding a patent on The Travel Companion (an app based program providing interesting facts about your surroundings powered by GPS locations while traveling), creation of Magic Wells (a landscaping tool used to form perfect tree wells during new tree plantings) and the formation of Services Reimagined Landscaping and Pools (our family owned landscaping company of 4.5 years).

I now enjoy applying my passion for innovation towards the development of creative energy management solutions at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. With my Computer Science and data analytics background, I am working to analyze energy consumption at the resort and identify programs to reduce our annual footprint by 3% to 6%. In addition to Energy Management, I partner with local agencies to ensure we are compliant with all operating permit requirements. I oversee our contracts as needed to ensure our programs are in alignment with all regulation requirements.

A QUICK HELLO

With 26 years of professional experience, I have gathered a broad set of skills which I currently utilize as Energy Manager at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. Over the years, I have received training ranging from Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Colorado State University to practical experience in SQL extractions and various QA programs focused on customer facing UAT and ultimately program implementation.

In my previous roles, steering our teams of service professionals to work toward a common goal was essential. As a result, I developed an instinct for building teams that are efficient and collaborate to achieve results that positively impact the company. I have an aptitude for identifying team members' unique abilities and leveraging their strengths to create a cohesive and successful team approach to change.

Innovation was another key driver in my recent role. Finding new and innovative ways to grow the business, improve workflows, and increase revenue was part of my daily tasks. My strengths can be defined as leveraging technology, evaluating data, quality assurance, managing change, and encouraging collaborative efforts to achieve positive results.

Lastly, I have a strong capacity for organizing tasks and delegating them to the best-suited team members. In my previous roles, managing a tight schedule and a diverse team often meant implementing an organized and structured approach to achieving goals.

I am excited to work with the Arizona Grand Resort as the Energy Manager.
