Primary function is to rebuild gas and diesel cylinder heads. Review work orders and assess work needs for the day. Inspect cylinder heads to determine what parts are needed to rebuild cylinder heads by using manufacturer specifications and measuring instruments to inspect individual components. Crack check and pressure test. Remove and replace valve seats or reface valve seats. Remove and replace valve guides. Grind valves and assemble valve train into cylinder head. Maintain tools, equipment at all work stations.

Monitor all functions of equipment in the process of drying frac sand, completing change overs for different grades of sand used in the oil and gas industry. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment and the operation of heavy equipment including a John Deere 844K-II wheel loader, John Deere 300D series II articulated dump truck, and Komatsu D155 AX dozer.

Set up, operated and maintained a Homag BOF 311 router. Extensive understanding of M codes and G codes and responsible for performing necessary program edits on the shop floor. Maintained logs, lists and files as well as efficiently completed all necessary paperwork. Fabricated tools, jigs, and fixtures to meet manufacturing and engineering needs. Calculated and set controls to regulate machining factors such as part speed, feed, depth, and angle of cut and clamping methods. Made appropriate offset corrections for tool wear/broken tools. Responsible for selecting appropriate speeds and feeds according to type of material and finish specifications.
