Primary function is to rebuild gas and diesel cylinder heads. Review work orders and assess work needs for the day. Inspect cylinder heads to determine what parts are needed to rebuild cylinder heads by using manufacturer specifications and measuring instruments to inspect individual components. Crack check and pressure test. Remove and replace valve seats or reface valve seats. Remove and replace valve guides. Grind valves and assemble valve train into cylinder head. Maintain tools, equipment at all work stations.
Monitor all functions of equipment in the process of drying frac sand, completing change overs for different grades of sand used in the oil and gas industry.
