  • Oversee final mile network with a hub and spoke model consisting of one fulfillment center in Frederick Maryland and one Mini – fulfillment center in Concord NC. Spoke locations consist of Washington DC, Philadelphia PA., Harrisburg Pa, and Richmond VA.
  • Oversee Final Mile team consisting of four Transportation Managers, sixteen Transportation Supervisors, and over 400 final mile drivers while achieving an on-time percentage of 97%, and averaging over 1,000 deliveries per day.

Quickly assumed lead in building transportation department/regional planning model, from ground up, for Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region spanning Maine to North Carolina (530 stores, 3 distribution centers, 3 feed cross docks, and 3 mixing centers).
  • Scope of work: 2 distribution centers | 5 feed cross docks | (7) 3rd party carriers | 3 third-party logistics (3PL) providers | $717M annual budget | 1,000+ store locations | ~650 truckloads/day.
  • Develop and managed key performance indicators (KPIs) for all 3PL providers to include third party carriers for inbound, outbound, and vendor compliance. The KPIs included on time performance, lead times, and inbound load inspection. Analyze inventory, replenishment, and shipment routing. Implement sustainable logistics policy encompassing mode selection, carrier rationalization, and shipper of choice and logistics-supplier relationships. Manage all emergency response and just-in-time (JIT) freight shipments. Maintain companywide DOT, IRP, and IFTA accounts as well as 3rd party provider, carrier, and vendor contract compliance.
  • Managed 3PL providers and carrier relationships to ensure seamless operations, including contract adherence, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
