Had to highlight tire information and put into rows for the associates to come and get. Had to clean area and see where help was needed.
Was moved to finals, where we inspected the tire for missed defects or other problems that could have been missed by others. Helped the painter if they got behind. Had to make sure the tire information was correct in the system and that the tire met their specifications.
Worked at Initial, where we had to run electricity through tire to find and remove metal. Had to remove all rocks, nails, to the customer specifications. If an injury was too large or an item too big, that the tire ran over, it was junked out.
Loader
ups
Clarksville, IN
01.2017 - 01.2022
Had to unload the trucks and put packages on the line a certain way for them to be scanned, and the correct label to be put on the package.
Got moved to the main line, where I loaded three trucks to the drivers' specifications. Sometimes, loaded more trucks depending on the volume and if they asked.
Some packages were 150-plus pounds that required help to move off the line.
Janitor
Reynolds Consumer Products Inc.
Louisville, KY
01.2015 - 01.2017
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors of all areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, countertops and other surfaces. Empty wastebaskets and trash containers. Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides or steam-cleaning equipment. Replenish bathroom supplies such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissue. Maintain janitorial supply inventory. Ensure that all spills are cleaned up immediately to prevent any accidents from occurring. Used a propane-powered sweeper through the different areas of the buildings. Had to get clearance to clean pits under machines.ferent warehouses. Had to get clearance to clean pits under machines. Also, had to make Gatorade for the employees into 5-gallon containers.
Got a job bid for an operator position and took it. Learned how to thread different machines with aluminum. Had to make sure a core was in the machine with three glue dots for it to hold it. Had to fill out paperwork with the correct information every day. Had to keep area clean and machines clean. Had to test 3 rolls for each machine after breaks and lunch. If any issues were happening, you would have to call an electrician, pipe fitter, oiler, or machinist.
Got the case packer job, and you had to make sure there were plenty of boxes in the machine, or it would shut the whole line down. Had to bring cartons with a battery-powered hand forklift to the main operators' area. Had to make sure the paperwork was correct and had no errors. Had to check 3 rolls from the lines. Helped the line operator with checking the rolls.
I was a member of the safety committee, tasked with identifying and addressing areas or issues that needed to be fixed.
Stower
Amazon fulfillment
Jeffersonville, IN
06.2012 - 01.2015
Stowed merchandise in designated areas of the warehouse, including shelves, racks and bins.
When no work in stow went to receiving or pick.
Worked my way into problem-solving in Stow. A lot of walking and investigating was necessary to help fix the issues. Had to check bins or containers that stowers messed up. Had to fix the wrong product, had to receive the product, or fill out a trouble ticket for the product sent in wrong.
Also fixed problems for PICK, ISS, ICQA, PHOTO STUDIO, and RECEIVE.
Worked on FUD and IOL a lot. FUD is past due customer orders we had to find in a 2,000,000 square foot building in a timely manner. IOL is aging inventory that also has to be tracked down.
I was one of two people who had access to the photo studio and the high retail value cage by them. We had to work with them because they had to move the product out of their area before we could do anything. I was also able to help find a product that other problem solvers could not find for the manager in the photo studio.
I was also one of three people who had BINTOOL access. This tool allowed you to add or delete anything in the entire warehouse. You could also add things to bins that were full or locked out. It was also necessary to have this tool for damaged items that had to be put up with access to this tool.
I got to work with a lot of departments and learned a lot of valuable information to make my job easier.
Product Assembler
D.a Inc(Mitchell Plastics)
Charlestown , Indiana
01.2008 - 01.2012
Started in building 1, they had three X-stamp machines and two regular machines, and they would alternate every day between these machines.
I was on the safety committee, and we would look for problems or come up with better solutions to run the plant efficiently.
The company was really big on Kaizen, which involved finding solutions for safety issues by filling out a form to turn in. If granted, you would earn extra money on your check.
They were really big on types of mooda, things that can harm a company like waste, excess inventory, time off task, etc.
Depending on the product, we either had to attach a metal bracket with three rivets or attach two pieces together with rivets. Each plastic piece had to be inspected for defects, trimmed of excess plastic, or heated with a heat gun. This was a fast-paced job. We had to count pieces correctly and fill out the label with our employee number and date.
Worked on level 2 status. Had to take a bunch of computer tests and the crane test. Had to be there 30 minutes earlier and had to check the water filters on all machines. Check the magnet filters on all the machines. I could move the molds to and from the machine. We also had to scan the order in, and the process tech would finish the rest.
There were 8 molds that weighed 2000 pounds, and 6 molds that had a special crane to move due to their weight. When moving the big molds, you had to be really careful due to clearance on either side of only five inches. Then you had to connect four hoses on each side of the mold: two for water and two for oil.
Then we went to building 2, where they have the rest of the machines and products they make. Assembled all kinds of different parts for Corolla, Camry, and Lexus. Worked on the paint line, pad print machine, and the room where overhead consoles were made for Corolla and Lexus.
The pad print machine requires you to mix the ink together, line it up to the pads, and ensure it matches up with the product.
Was also a 100 percenter. We had to check the completed parts to see if they functioned correctly and to check for any missed defects before it goes out to the customer. If we found completed parts missing anything, we had to write it up and turn it into management. We also had to do a certain amount to complete a shipment.
