From 2010 through 2022 I was managing end-of-life care for both of my parents. I was able to continue flipping houses while caring for my mother who had cancers. She passed, at home, in 2013.
Come 2015 my father had a stroke. I had to stop flipping houses in order to care for him. During this time I started flipping cars while caring for him.
This was not a break from "work" as some employers may see it. Managing end-of-life care for my parents included scheduling, medication management, coordinating with healthcare professionals and fighting the state off from taking them away in order to seize their land.
I oversaw all household operations, budgeting and maintenance. I balanced caregiving responsibilities with Self-Employment activities including vehicle repairs and resales.
