Project lead of the SONET/SDH development team for Appian’s Optical Services Activation Platform (OSAP), which provides fine granularity Ethernet over SONET/SDH service with Quality of Service (QOS) enforcement based on customer service level agreements. The OSAP supports OC48/STM-16, OC12/STM-4 and OC3/STM-1 optical interfaces and Linear Automatic Protection Switching (APS) and Unidirectional Path Switched Ring (UPSR) protection switching protocols
Developed device driver software for SONET/SDH cards based on the PMC-Sierra CHESS chip set consisting of the Spectra 2488 Framer/Aligner, Telecom Bus Serializer, TSE cross connect and S/UNI-MACH48 packet processor as well as custom FPGA’s.
