ASU Housing Bot

  • Developed a bot with the Go programming language that helped me secure my preferred housing at ASU during a period of severely limited openings.
  • From February 2023 until May 2023, I left the bot to poll an ASU API endpoint for open rooms. In the summer of 2023, my program notified me of a vacancy and I immediately secured my spot.
  • Attaining a room without my software would have been nearly impossible as there were only two brief occasions of an open room in the 4 month period that the bot was running.
