Dedicated professional with extensive experience in home construction. Proven expertise in framing, hardwood installation, and remodeling. Committed to delivering high-quality results while managing projects effectively.
I began in the home Construction field fresh out of high school in 1990. I only worked for 2 different contractors as an employee for 7 years. In that time period I basically preformed any and all duties or tasks asked of me by my employer.
In 1997 I joined my future brother-in-law in a framing company. For the next 3 years we framed several homes for several different contractors in our area. From small simple ranch style homes to large very complex style homes.
During this period and prior to then I had been installing hardwood flooring for various builders and homeowners.
In 2000 I left the framing company and opened my own hardwood flooring company. I also installed interior trim and interior staircases.
I kept this company open for approximately 4 years when I decided to sell and return to the family owned framing company.
From 2004 until 2019 we continued to frame for several contractors. Also for many of those same contractors I would personally subcontract the hardwood flooring and interior trim. Throughout these 15 years I have performed basically any and all task needed to build a home.
In 2019 we decided to close our framing company and work for one of our largest contractors as employees. Sadly to say working for someone at this time in my life just didn't work for me.
In 2019 I opened a small company called Remodeling Works as a sole proprietor. I focused on small jobs such as bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, interior trim, interior staircases, decks, etc. I took on jobs that I knew I could complete without the need for subcontractors.
Throughout these last seven years I've worked very hard to acquire a good reputation as a quality builder. I am definitely not the fastest but I care more about quality than production.
Over these last seven years I have had to pass on many opportunities to take on larger projects, which I know I could handle, due to my lack of holding a contractors license. I am now applying for a license hoping this resume helps.
