I love tourists! I love Regulars, I love everyone in between! I love working on the San Diego Bay! Lots of energy here! Many years in the bar and restaurant industry have built me into a fast multitasker with the ability to consistently keep a clear head when things get crazy while performing above expectations. There's nothing like working in a loud fast paced environment, especially on the waterfront of San Diego! Maintaining control of the establishment and guests while recognizing the appropriate times to have some fun and make people laugh is an important responsibility. The guest experience is always first priority. A guests perception is not only their reality, it becomes their friends and acquaintances interpretation as well through word of mouth. I always have happy guests. If someone doesn't get along with their server/bartender, I can slide in, take it over and make everyone happy. I thoroughly enjoy being behind the bar and in front of complete strangers while making new friends every day and night. Reading people is a skill that helps every day in all parts of life. A strong decision maker providing quick and accurate service is important. I ONLY submit a resume to an establishment that I have researched and I am comfortable with calling my new home.
Bartending at this downtown bayside location has been an awesome experience! We have had the highest sales in the company for over 3 years (before covid). It is really great connecting with the locals and the tourists. Sometimes being nonstop busy from open to close. I am always ready for the huge crowds, they make bartending fun. I have had many great life experiences in this restaurant. I am still the head bartender here, but I feel this is the time to move on to my next big family. I believe my skills and experience can be harnessed by a more deserving crowd, which is the reason you are reading this.
PLEASE DO NOT DISMISS MY RESUME BECAUSE OF THIS EXPERIENCE. This place had a bad reputation, but the best servers and bartenders were the ones that were NOT rude, but simple whitty and smart. The BEST were the ones that could handle all of the extra "acting" and still provide amazing customer service. I was a Multi-tasking bartender/server in this busy Gaslamp restaurant. Consistently producing the highest sales in food and alcohol. Training and coaching all new FOH staff. Concept was entertainment on top of excellent service skills. Most shifts required handling large numbers of guests at any given time. This required strong serving capabilities that most people just do not possess. Quick decision making while maintaining the brand reputation and exceeding the guests expectations. As one of their strongest team members, I had the opportunity to remain there for many years to come. Unfortunately this location unexpectedly closed down and let go of their entire staff. I was not one of the terrible ones, I was one of the BEST.
Worked at Petco Park for the entire 2019 season. Covid had the ballpark closed for 2020.
I was in a serious accident in the begining of 2021 and unable to return at the time.
Started as a server while still in high school. Providing dine-in guests with exceptional service while also taking care of to-go orders and assisting with all staff duties as assistant management.
I feel that it is important to do the right thing in every situation. Even if it takes a bit longer. Even if it seems small or meaningless to peers. Even when no one is watching. Always being true to myself and others.
