I've been a firefighter since the age of 16 and have completed many trainings and classes and still working on getting more. I am outgoing and work well in a team. I'm hard working and like to do my job at hand and strive to do more than what is asked of me to the best of my ability. I have very strong mechanical skills and don't meet a stranger. I have been a career firefighter going on 4 years now and I want to make a positive impact in the department and the community. My end goal is to get the training needed to become a Fire Marshall.
I am interested in becoming a lieutenant for Augusta County because I feel like I would be an officer for the firefighters on my shift and for the community. I feel this change would be good for my career. With being a volunteer and a career firefighter I see the needs of both sides of the field and communicate great with the two sides to build a bond that allows both to work together and understand each other more. I always give 110% and do not quit until the tasks at hand are complete. I bring experience and the willingness to learn something new everyday. I have had the chance to step up and take some of the responsibilities of a lieutenant when my last lieutenant retired. Equipped with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills. Poised to contribute to team success and achieve positive results. Ready to tackle new challenges and advance organizational objectives with dedication and enthusiasm.
