Over the last 12yrs in the pole inspection industry I have grown as a manager. Five years as a foreman I achieved triple goose eggs no recordable, CVC or lost work day cases. Successfully completed the PACE behavioral driving course and tested employees in PACE. As a foreman I ran a 5-7 man productive crew in the field performing safety inspections on utility poles. This is a fast paced productive environment. As a foreman it was my duty to make sure safety, quality and production standards where upheld. In 2018 I became a Certified Field Trainer and would train all new foreman candidates in the northeast. In 2019 I was promoted to Supervisor of Operations. This role tested the leadership skills developed during my foreman career. Responsibilities included performing safety audits to ensure the safety culture was being upheld and crews worked safely. Conduct QCs(quality control) to ensure the customer got the product they paid for. While performing crew visits look for areas of improvement to help make the crew more productive while working safely and quality oriented. Give field support daily through coaching, supplies and audits. Some administrative duties included assisting Manager of Operations with project schedules, inventory control. Running reports through the online system (QLIK) to check on time stamps, hotel rates and overall production. Weekly review and approval of payroll. I regularly worked with Excel and Word documents.
Detail-oriented supervisor proficient in inventory control and performance evaluations. Focused on process improvements and team collaboration to drive operational success and achieve project goals.
If brought to your team I would bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic focused on safety, quality and production. This focus and years of leadership would make for an easy transition into a new field.
