Responsible for construction and completion of the Aghada CCGT Power Station as the main contractors to Alstom on their GT26 model turbine. Having took the project over from FMM (Spain) and brought the project to completion in 2012, I remained on site as a liaison between ESB International and Alstom for commissioning and handover. Responsible for my team’s installation of turbine skid supports, all auxiliary piping and associated civil works for fuel gas, lube oil, cooling water and air systems and temporary steam blow piping. My role also included the review and approval of method statements and SPA’s. Punch listing of all installation works as per the design and P&ID requirements. I assumed a supporting role during function checking of the auxiliary systems during commissioning up to and including the successful enabling of the unit.
