Client representative lead mechanical on a new production facility building (NPLC and NIRMA) leading a large team of multi discipline contractor companies and engineers from design to construction, commissioning and handover of a state-of-the-art facility on their API Ringaskiddy campus in Cork.

Mechanical supervisor for the construction of the Heavy Atmosphere Gas Oil (HAGO) project. In at the design stage of this ambitious and exciting project with a very experienced CMT we were hugely disappointed when the project was suspended by Irving Oil due to unforeseen circumstances in their main refinery in Canada.

Mechanical/Construction superintendent on construction of the Biogen NGM plant. Responsible for the mechanical install in the central utilities building (CUB) on this $1.6 billion project managing multidisciplinary teams of different nationalities to bring this part of the project to a successful close out.

Responsible for overall construction on Khurais oil field (biggest onshore oil field in the world), of new tie in well heads and manifolds to trunk lines and cross-country pipelines. Scope of works include heavy civils earthworks, overhead power lines, E&I, mechanical install/commissioning and telecommunications with a manpower of 2500 people and a project value of $10 billion.

Responsible for construction and completion of the Aghada CCGT Power Station as the main contractors to Alstom on their GT26 model turbine. Having took the project over from FMM (Spain) and brought the project to completion in 2012, I remained on site as a liaison between ESB International and Alstom for commissioning and handover. Responsible for my team’s installation of turbine skid supports, all auxiliary piping and associated civil works for fuel gas, lube oil, cooling water and air systems and temporary steam blow piping. My role also included the review and approval of method statements and SPA’s. Punch listing of all installation works as per the design and P&ID requirements. I assumed a supporting role during function checking of the auxiliary systems during commissioning up to and including the successful enabling of the unit.

Superintendent on SBM-YME MOPUstor on shore oil rig at quay wall, Stavanger, Norway. Responsible for the generation of work permits and allocation of daily work duties for my multinational teams. Completion of all documentation and progress reports. System walk downs and punch lists completed to client requirements.
