Work History

Paramedic

Tri-Hospital EMS
04.2009 - Current

Respond to sick and injured patients through the 911 system and treat them withing the scope of my licensure, then transport said patients to a local emergency room for continued care. Due to having extra certifications, when necessary I will also transfer emergency room patients to other facilities for procedures and specialized treatments not available at local hospitals.

Simulator Technician

St Clair County Community College
08.2019 - Current

Working with students who are involved in the health sciences, I assist instructors with scenario based education. I set up the room with needed equipment then run the manikin as the students perform their treatments and assessments.

Firefighter

Fort Gratiot Twp.
06.2013 - 05.2021

Respond to fires, hazardous material situations, vehicular accidents and any other situation the local 911 system deemed necessary. Also, respond to medical emergencies as first responders and assist the local ambulance company as needed. While doing occasional shift work, truck checks were performed to make sure equipment was in place and in working order.

Death Investigator

St. Clair County Medical Examiner's Office
11.2018 - 11.2019

Under direction of the Medical Examiner, respond to scenes of deaths within the county. Investigate as to why and how the death occurred and file a report. Then release the body to a funeral home, or transport it to the morgue for further investigation.

Paramedic

St Joseph Mercy Hospital (now Lake Huron Medical)
04.2005 - 08.2010

Worked in the emergency room triaging walk-in patients. Helped treat said patients under the guidance of the emergency room physician, including blood draws, wound and injury care, EKG's, and medication administration.

Worked as a EMT-Basic on an Advance Life Support ambulance responding to sick and inured patients through the local 911 system. During this time period I became a paramedic.
