Situational Decision Making - Description

During one of my shifts as a head concierge, a frustrated resident approached me, upset that their package had been marked as delivered but was nowhere to be found. They were expecting an important document and needed it urgently. Instead of dismissing their concern, I calmly reassured them that I would do everything possible to locate the package. I first checked our package log and storage area but found nothing. Then, I reached out to the delivery service using the tracking number and discovered that the package had been mistakenly left at a neighboring building. I immediately contacted the front desk assistant at that location, who confirmed they had the package. I personally walked over to retrieve it and returned it to the resident within 20 minutes. They were extremely grateful for my effort and patience, even mentioning they would leave positive feedback for my assistance. This experience taught me the importance of staying composed, problem-solving efficiently, and going the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.
