I have ran the girls' athletic program for the past 14 years at Academy HS and JH. In that time, we have been able to finish in the top 15 in the Lone Star Cup Standings twice, Qualified for State in basketball 2016, State Champions in softball 2017, multiple district championships in all programs, and playoff appearances.

Golden Apple Award Winner 2003, Dean Weese Outstanding Coach Award 2014-15

In 2003 I was nominated by one of my students for the Temple Daily Telegram Golden Apple Award and won. The student shared how I made history more enjoyable and helped them to understand things that were going on in our world at that time.

During the 2014-2015 basketball season, I was nominated by a fellow basketball coach, for the Dean Weese Outstanding Coach Award that is given by the Texas Association for Basketball Coaches (TABC). The committee selected me as the award winner for class 3A.
