Summary

Started with the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Services. Duties and responsibilities are shall assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Youth Reporting Centers. The Program Director shall cooperate with educational, social service, health and rehabilitation agencies to coordinate program/service delivery for youth participating in YRC programs. Shall maintain records in the YRC for each youth admitted to the program. Prepare regular and special reports for DJS administrators detailing the activities of the YRC and attend quarterly YRC Directors’ Meetings. To monitor and supervise program operations and evaluate the services provided to youth at the YRC through regular evaluation of service delivery staff. Will develop weekly program schedules for participants and assign staff to deliver treatment groups and other services. Ensure a safe and productive environment for both staff and youth at the YRC.

Worked for the Wood County Sheriff's Office, Home Confinement Division for 21 ½ Years and hold the title of Captain. Duties include but are not limited to the following: run the day to day operations of home confinement, answer phone calls, take schedules from clients, enter all information in the computers, random drug testing of clients, hook up and release offenders on the system, make arrests, appear in Magistrate and Circuit Courts for testimony in hearings. Run court hearings for the Holding Center. Make random checks of offenders at work, home, schooling, Medical appointments, meetings, religious functions, and any other approved activities to be away from their residence, place offenders for community service work. Take care of client fees, organize and create documents and forms that are used by the officers and office, keep communications with all outside businesses in reference to any and all equipment that is used by the home confinement office, order all supplies needed for operation of the department. Work with local law Enforcement agencies, prosecutors, magistrates, judges, defense attorneys, probation officers, day report center, and the 911communications center. Treatment team member for the Mid-Ohio Valley Adult Drug Court, certified search and member and Instructor for the Project Lifesaver Program, Coordinator for the R U OK? Program, and a member of the Kid Print ID Program.
