During my time at Home Depot, I started as a cashier, primarily assisting customers with their purchases and ensuring they had everything they needed. I worked mainly in the Pro section, where I interacted with contractors and managed large transactions. After a year and a half, I transitioned to the Delivery department, where I helped customers and contractors place large orders for their homes and businesses. I also handled heavy materials and assisted customers in loading their orders into their vehicles. My role required close attention to detail, especially when managing complex orders and ensuring everything was accurately prepared for delivery.

After a few months, I moved to the overnight crew, where I was responsible for overstocking the paint section and ensuring merchandise was properly stocked throughout the store. This role demanded efficiency and organization, as I had to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the store was ready for the morning rush. I developed strong problem-solving skills, identifying potential issues before they arose and addressing them quickly. Working on the overnight crew also gave me a deeper understanding of inventory management and the importance of preparing the store for smooth operations during the day. My time at Home Depot taught me valuable skills in customer service, logistics, organization, and leadership, all of which carried with me into my next ventures.

I consistently maintained a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, handling cash and card transactions with accuracy while managing high-volume rushes. I took pride in providing quick and efficient service while ensuring that every customer felt valued. Additionally, I was flexible in supporting the kitchen team when needed, stepping in to help prepare food, including tacos and a variety of menu items, especially during busy or understaffed shifts.
This experience strengthened my teamwork skills, adaptability, and ability to perform under pressure while prioritizing customer satisfaction. I was often called upon to work overtime, especially during peak hours and special promotions, and I willingly took on extra shifts to ensure the team met its goals. Working overtime helped me develop a strong work ethic and the ability to stay focused and organized even during extended hours. Through this role, I learned how to balance multiple tasks, manage time efficiently, and contribute to a positive work environment. Overall, my time at Taco Bell equipped me with valuable skills in customer service, teamwork, and handling high-pressure situations.
