• Supervised a security department of 28 uniformed personnel providing security at 2 hospitals, 27 clinics and 3 urgent care centers spanning three counties.
• Responsible for oversight of vendor contracts related to security services such as alarm monitoring companies, radio equipment vendors and SSTV/CCTV technologies.
• Created emergency response plans for natural disasters or other emergencies and conducted associated exercises annually.

• Responsible for security services for four campuses in California, Arizona, and Missouri. Supervised 18 security personnel and managed contracts for over 40 additional security officers.
• Conducted physical security surveys for the Kirksville, MO and Mesa, Arizona campuses. Responsible for physical security, including all physical access control systems, SSTV/CCTV systems, and infrastructure protection.
• Completed investigations as necessary for crimes committed on campus. Worked closely with local law enforcement agencies as appropriate to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors.
• Responsible for CLERY Act compliance for all AT Still University campuses and satellite clinics.
• Provided subject matter expertise to University executive leadership for security & law enforcement matters.

• Program management responsibility over 8 healthcare systems covering Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Responsibilities included oversight of over 500 police officers assigned in 8 different jurisdictions.
• Provide guidance to facility Chiefs of Police and Executive Leadership on all aspects of security and law enforcement.
• Conduct administrative and criminal investigations at medical centers nationwide. Gather evidence, conduct interviews, complete affidavits, swear out warrants and make arrests when appropriate.
• Assisted with the development of national programs including the VA's Dump Opioid Take Back Program, Police Officer Worn Body Camera Program and helped develop the National VA Police First Amendment Auditor training.
• Responsible for program management oversight of Region wide Physical Security program which includes Physical Access Control Systems, CCTV management, and infrastructure protection. Ensure Physical Security Surveys, and vulnerability Assessments are completed annually.
• Provide guidance to facility police department leadership for Joint Commission compliance, specific to security programs at all VA facilities within VISN 22.

Chief of Police at three VA Healthcare Systems in Prescott, AZ; Lexington, KY; and Sacramento, CA.

• Responsible for all aspects of the Police Service Central Office Inspection Program. Evaluate facility readiness on an ongoing basis to ensure that the facility is prepared at any time for an unannounced audit.
• Oversee the Physical Security & Infrastructure Protection programs, Investigations, Emergency Dispatch, and administrative operations. This includes developing and implementing department policies for all areas covering security and law enforcement.
• Directly responsible for ensuring the competent training and supervision of a fully operational up to 72-member police department. Regularly perform budget management, and service line management responsibilities.
• Provide in-depth, comprehensive reports on crime stats, crime trends, predictive crime analysis, and countermeasures to law enforcement personnel as well as facility leadership using the full range of MS Suite tools.
• Responsible for Joint Commission readiness specific to facility security programs.

• Performed aviation security duties for American-flagged commercial airlines with a top-secret security clearance.
• Deployed extensively throughout the United States and internationally for assigned missions ensuring security for US flagged airlines, crew, and passengers.
• Trained in counter-terrorism tactics, hostage negotiations, explosives ordinance disposal, and dignitary protection.
• Trained and assigned as Team 2 medic, maintaining shot records and providing emergency first aid to members of my team or the flying public while on travel status.
