Reviewed Operating Statements, Investigative Analytics, Asset Protection Dashboard, Key Performance Indicators. Reviewed and provided guidance and direction on matters requiring additional examination. Was responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing programs, procedures, techniques, and equipment which ensured the Safety, Security, Profitability, and Resiliency of our customers, team members, locations, and assets. Utilized knowledge and understanding of Store Operations that may directly or indirectly affected Asset Protection goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities included, but were not limited to.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws as they relate to the rights of team members and non-employees.
- Proactively identified and reported on potential and actual exposure to loss of Company assets.
- Developed and /or implemented the means to minimize risk, to ensure compliance to Company policy and procedures.
- Provided guidance and training to Store Operations (Regional, Area, District and Store Leadership and team members) on detecting and preventing losses.
- Established and maintained communication avenues between Store Operations (Store Ops), the Asset Protection Solutions (APS) department, key Company stakeholders, and outside agencies to ensure that established Asset Protection goals and objectives were being met to minimize loss of profits and achieve comprehensive loss targets and goals.
- Managed third party contracted guard force to ensure training on and adherence to company policy and procedures. This included, but was not limited to, developing and implementing post orders, training, and scheduling.
- Communicated and coordinated with the Asset Protection Solutions (APS) department including the Asset Protection Managers, Operations Loss Prevention, and other APS staff to reduce shrink and minimize risk in the stores and corporate facilities and call centers.
- Maintained regular communications with Pharmacy and Retail Operations, and other Corporate Departments to foster cooperative efforts to prevent or minimize profit loss, to include regular discussions, presentations, training, and reports.
- Reviewed budget-to-plan and performs financial analysis of Asset Protection programs in order to recommend and implement cost savings initiatives.
- Provided guidance and programmatic oversight to other team members, including but not limited to, APS team members (APMs, APPs etc) in the field.
- Ensured that store security objectives were consistently applied based on location specific needs.
- Developed and mentored leadership team members through on-boarding, open communications, training and development opportunities, performance management processes.
- Worked on building and maintaining team member morale and motivation; ensured that the team members were appropriately staffed with the required competencies that fostered a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Developed and maintained comprehensive knowledge of Pharmacy and Retail Operations policies & procedures, and auditing standards.
- Was one of a handful of Asset Protection Managers within the organization that acquired and maintained a National Pharmacy Technician Certification and also a Florida State Pharmacy Registered Technician License.
- Maintained an awareness of ongoing developments in the Asset Protection field as they related to job responsibilities.
- Was selected as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both the Profitect/ZPA program, as well as the Pharmacy Investigative Specialist Program which developed and conducted testing of new and innovative solutions.
- Also lead and participated in cross-functional developmental teams to include but not limited to the People Development Team, the Safety Team, the Profitability Team, the Security Team, the Resiliency Team to ensure procedural implementation is completed efficiently and within approved budgets.
- Collaborated with Accounts Payable, Banking Reconciliations, Store Accounting Procedures (SAP), Deposit Tracking Systems (DTS), Regional, District and Store Leadership and also within Asset Protection Solutions to identify and minimize operational losses.
- Worked with Store Operations to ensure that payments were made to vendors within specified time frames.
- Analyzed and distributed Regional, Area, District and Store specific data to the field. Reviewed and identified data exceptions to support strategy implementation aligned with operational goals and objectives.
- Supported all business units within the geographic territory of responsibility (Stores, Regional Office, Call Center, IT locations, Specialty Pharmacies and provided the appropriate service levels established in order to drive Asset Protection Solutions consistency and raise awareness around safety, security, profitability, and resiliency.
- Managed a robust case load that included travel, training, virtual and in-person meeting attendance, as well as other incremental support to the organization.
- Managed day-to-day activities of a group of employees (APPs). assigned, monitored and reviewed progress and accuracy of work, direct efforts and provide technical guidance on more complex issues.
- Participated in (APS and Store Ops) recommendations for the hiring, firing, and performance review processes of team members.
