Lead DevOps Engineer, final decision with staffing and strategic plans for Information Technology. Often work directly with project stakeholders to assess risks and provide solutions. Recently have shifted towards software engineering, but still maintain infrastructure/operational duties in role.

Notable Tasks and Projects

• Developed "Humani" web app and backend in Typescript. Backend runs various cron jobs that synchronize locally encrypted sqlite with third parties, while also serving a TRPC endpoint. The front end communicates with TRPC to display sync statuses as well as providing some file conversion functions for Accounting/HR.
• Architected and implemented on prem Kubernetes clusters using Terraform/Ansible. Migrated all developers from manual builds and deployments to CI/CD in Github, where their code is built, tested, and deployed in gitops fashion using Fluxcd, including automatic configuration of F5 load balancer for web apps.
• Architected and implemented on prem HPC cluster using Posit, SLURM, and Singularity. Provides containerized RStudio and Jupyter sessions to data scientists.
• Maintainer of VMWare Horizon cluster. Provides remote users performant, virtualized, and secure Windows desktops.

Deployed Atlassian Jira. Migration to 365. Reduced average ticket resolution time from 1 week to 2 days
