My name is Brian Wiley im 18 and i have passionate about cyber security I'm currently in school at CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF APPLIED TECHNOLOGY working on my Associate Degree for cyber security. My goals when becoming a SOC Analyst is to prevent attacks from happening against the company, gathering new information about different malware's and attacks that can potentially happen to the organization, and having a strong end goal to solving the issues that has occurred. Building a relationship with the organization and team members. Im passionate about cyber defense and want to continue to learn different ways to become better when defending the organization data. I know how important it is to the organization when protecting the data that's on your network from cyber threats. When working as a team im BIG on it. I enjoy working as a team when Analyzing data, Charts, Patterns, Alerts, Traffic, News, etc. I can work at a slow , medium or fast pace. I like to work in a environment that has full of Ideals, Techniques, Problem solving, Different ways of thinking, Motivation, Courage, Self Confidence, Eagerness. Etc.

My number one rule when working together is to always help a falling man. I can understand if someone doesn't know something and needs help with solving a issue. I understand that humans tend to deal with person issues that can get in the way of their work space and I don't expect people to know everything. I like to learn from other people experiences and mistakes so I can avoid making them myself. I'm saying that im not perfect and I can make mistakes to but if I can avoid it I will. I'm passionate to learn gather information and teach the things that i know to my team members.

I don't know everything about cyber security myself but I know the tools that I use and the ways to identity a positive or false positive alert. I have a strategy that I use personally when receiving alerts first I identify whats going on and why the alert has been triggered.

• I create my 5 W's Who, What,When,Where,Why
• I look into three important details when receiving alerts 1.The device 2.The location 3. The Internet provider address
• The tools i use to identity the alert is Brim, OpenCTI, Wireshark,Open VAS, autopsy,Snort, Kibana, Etc
• My end point goals is to make sure that the treat wont have a chance to get into the network at anytime. I'm determined to Protect the organization Customers, Company, Policy, Terms, Data.
• The tool i use for phishing emails are thunderbird to receive and look into the email.
• Email Header analyzer for a better layout for the header,domain name,dates etc
• cyberchef for defaging
• virus tools for basic properties,history and file sizes
• dmarcian for the DMARC, SPF and DKIM.

• Im doing courses on hack the box and track me while being in collage earning my degree I have completed course in tryhackme.
