Briana Vilches

Currently serve as the primary intake point for general crimes cases, conducting initial contact with victims, collecting key information, and assessing immediate victim needs. Provide victims' rights and court process education,coordinate referrals/resources, attend charging conferences with prosecutors, and maintain accurate case notes and follow up.

Support the Athletic department by cleaning and maintaining the fitness room and equipment inside, supervising the fitness room during operational hours, observing/assisting fitness room users on how to operate equipment, and completing weekly "Cleaning Checklists."

• Participated in active shooter training, K-9 training, and an active
  shooter debrief with the Wauwatosa officers.
• Assisted SRT (Special Response Team) members with training for
  hostage situations in automobiles, houses, and abandoned buildings.
• Acted as a decoy and as a perpetrator during these trainings. Also assisted SRT members during their search warrant training as well.
• Participated in numerous ride-a-longs throughout the first,
  second, and third shifts.
• Observed forensic interviews with detectives.
• Shadowed crime analysts from the Wauwatosa Department as
  well as the West Allis Police Department.
• Toured the crime lab and witnessed their procedures.
• Worked security for concerts in the Wauwatosa community as
  well as worked the Tosa Night Out community event.
• Completed EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course)
  taught by officers.
• Observed District Attorney Office employees and sat in on
  court proceedings.

• Assisted the Student Success Center by tutoring freshman
  student-athletes, checking them into WALI (Warrior Athletic
  Leadership Initiative), and providing athletes with the
  needed resources for academic success.
• Developed and maintained positive relationships with
  Freshman softball players and other student-athletes during
  Study Hall hours.
