-Perform jumbo changes on slitters and be knowledgeable of hoist operations.
-Work with engineers and group leaders to come up with better ways to package materials so they don't get damaged in shipping.
-Inspect material handling equipment within the department for broke or worn parts like PIV,hoist, slings, etc.
-Trained to work on multiple machines within department so can help out others when needed.
-Operate slitters when asked by Group Lead to help out.
-Follow standards and be able to determine packaging.
-Take pallets to staging area with PIV Pallet Stacker.
-Operate cradle and fork trucks to service the slitters/sheeters in Converting Dept.
-Determine delivery priorities utilizing department/scheduling orders to prevent machines from downtime
-Keep converting supply racks full of cores, boxes,end pad and etc.
-Take finished order in a timely manner to shipping
-Maintain stacks of pallets in area for finished goods from slitters
-Unload box truck in shipping
-Stockpile delivery to slitters
-Change batteries in trucks, log hours and report any problems
-Perform safety check every 8 hours on trucks
-Operate kettles for making organosol and waterbase solutions
-Print standards off of computer and configure product batch size, follow guidelines for making products.
-Setup kettle for filter and draining process.
-Assist Trainer in training new employees when needed, fill out progress paperwork on employee being trained and report back to Trainer.
-Involved in ELT project.
