Summary

Certified teacher with more than 18 years of teaching experience developing and implementing diverse curriculum covering a wide range of subjects. Highly skilled at motivating students and parents through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. Successful in helping students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills. I also bring to the table 6 years of successful athletic coaching experience at the secondary and middle school level. I took my golf team in Leakey TX to the 1A State Golf championships for 6 consecutive years. My defenses in 11 man football in Leakey were passionate, hard hitting and fundamentally sound and led the district in defensive scoring for 2 of the 4 years I was the defensive coordinator. My JV basketball team had a 3 year record of 36-8. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and share my experiences in teaching and how I can use my past 18 years of teaching experience to transition seamlessly into the productive culture already established at Leakey ISD.
