Participates in mock disaster codes and assures that staff and hospital management are prepared for when a large scale incident occurs. Communicates directly with Medical Alert Center utilizing reddinet, including EMS.

Retrieval and infusion of blood products when maternal hemorrhages require transfusion.
- Antepartum - Manage care of pre-term, pre-eclamptic, fetal demise patients. Ability to identify imminent pre-term deliveries, manage administration of magnesium sulfate, prematurely ruptured patients, as well as have compassion for those delivering still born or micro preemies less than twenty-three weeks gestation when NICU does not respond for resuscitation.
- NICU - Manage care of pre-term newborns, maintain feeding and medication schedule. Facilitate and encourage visits from parents.
