I promoted student growth through data-driven instruction, built strong relationships with students to support engagement, SEL, and academic achievement, I advocate for students through collaboration with families and staff, and I was recognized for teacher excellence with a nomination for the Joliet Area Great Teacher award in 2026.
I worked with the 2nd Grade team to create lessons to line up with Common Core State Standards. I taught virtually and in-person using a balanced literacy approach, as well as Pearson math. I furthered my learning by attending optional professional development in writing, phonics, and math.
I provided care to school aged students before and after school. I substituted in preschool and kindergarten classrooms using Reggio-Emilia practices. I assisted in classrooms of every age group wherever help was needed. Helped plan field trips, supervised children on field trips, and drove a bus for school age summer camp program. I was flexible and was able and willing to go into any classroom and provide help and support to both teachers and students.
I instructed and coached children ages 2-12 on the basic skills of volleyball in practice and tournaments. I developed and implemented practice plans. I provided engaging demonstration and drills for the children to enjoy and learn volleyball.
I supervised children from kindergarten-5th grade before and after school. I engaged children in physical activities, as well as made breakfast and snack for the children.
