- I volunteered for a temporary position at Spectrum Communities as a Volunteer Activity Assistant. My skills and responsibilities included:
- Assisted the activity supervisor in curating an engaging and stimulating activity schedule.
- Provided compassionate support for residents experiencing emotional distress or undergoing personal transitions within their living environment by spending 1:1 time with residents.
- Conducted sensory stimulation activities for memory care patients, improving mood regulation and reducing agitation incidents. Examples include Montessori type and self directed engagement.
- Coordinated special events to celebrate holidays, birthdays, or other milestones that fostered a sense of community within the residence.
