Being a wastewater treatment operator is making sure the product in your area is getting cleaned during the treatment process. By doing this we must take samples of the water from a designated point that everyone else takes it and test it to compare our readings to trends or other operators bench test. The procedure is taken every two hours or hourly to document changes so adjustments in chemical dosage or adjustments in equipment can be made. That is why checking the equipment in your area and calibrating them is also important so that way we are certain that it’s up to par with maintaining the product coming through the area. One day you may be sitting by the monitor and watching your trends in the A/C and the next day you could be working with a group of people taking turns turning a huge block valves that millions and millions of water flows through. There's always somethings new and exciting and constantly changing in the plant and that’s what I find intriguing.
Working as a custodian I was in charge of maintaining the cleanliness of the buildings and surrounding grounds. My position also entailed odd jobs like repainting curbs and buildings and checking fire extinguishers.
As an Amazon picker I was given a route to follow throughout the warehouse, responsible for gathering packages in a timely manner that were scheduled to be sent out for delivery by our drivers. These routes on our handheld device pertained colors and numbers I would have to find throughout the warehouse and match with so I can place them in my cart then the designated station for the delivery driver to load their van with.
As a power jump operator it is my responsibly to comfort the children and give them the fun experience, while securing kids in harnesses assuring their safety before lifting them off the tramp. Supervising customers and our workers safety was an important duty as well. When the day was done our next task as a group would be to carefully take down the equipment and inspect it to make sure there are no damages that should be looked or serviced before the next time we set it up.
Being a PCA I was responsible for picking up my clients kids up from school, preparing dinners, housekeeping, and accompanying them with running errands. Being a PCA means that you must be patient and have the passion to assist others, to provide that companionship and getting to know the patients likes and dislikes. Being organized and supportive along with having a positive attitude.
