• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for plastic surgery patients
• Assess patients before and after procedures, monitoring vital signs, pain, and recovery
• Administer medications and IV therapies while maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Monitor patients in PACU and recognize/manage post-operative complications

· Deliver comprehensive critical care to adult patients with life-threatening medical conditions, including sepsis, multiorgan failure, ARDS, DKA, and respiratory failure.

· Continuously assess, monitor, and manage complex patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, CRRT, and other advanced life support interventions.

· Administer and titrate high-risk medications (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics, insulin drips) safely in accordance with hospital policies and critical care standards.

· Coordinate and collaborate closely with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

· Provide patient and family education on disease processes, prognosis, and end-of-life care with compassion and cultural sensitivity.

· Participate in rapid response and codes demonstrating calm, efficient, and expert response to medical emergencies.

· Accurately measured and recorded patient vital signs, promptly reported abnormal findings to the assigned nurse.

· Monitored and documented patients’ intake and output (I&O), including oral intake, IV fluids, urine, stool, and drains, supporting fluid balance assessments for post-op and medically complex patients.

· Assisted patients with activities of daily living ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity while promoting independence when appropriate.

· Supported patient mobility and repositioning using gait belts, walkers, and lift equipment; followed turning schedules to prevent pressure ulcers and reduce risk of falls, especially in post-surgical and high-fall-risk patients.

· Observed and reported changes in patients’ physical, emotional, and mental status, including pain levels, skin integrity, confusion, and emotional distress; contributed to early detection of complications and timely intervention.

· Collaborated with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and assist with daily patient care plans and discharge preparation.

· Transcribe medical charting for providers

· Assist in fundamental clinical care including point of care testing, intake of vitals, and other procedures

· Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis

· Assist in coordinating patient triage and overall work flow
