Brianna Sanchez

Served as the Public Relations Officer for the Rho Kappa National Honor Society. Within this position, I was able to help coordinate a voter registration drive on my school campus. Our high school was ranked #1 on the West Coast and #2 nationally for student registrations. Coordinated announcements and social media posts to promote service opportunities, meeting dates, deadlines, and important events.

Created the Global Awareness Club to increase global understanding among students. This was accomplished through extensive researching of topics and the creation of elaborate slideshows and social media posts.

Dedicated time to spreading awareness through week-long campaigns like “Healthy Relationships Week,” “Anti-Vaping Week,” and "Mental Illness Awareness Week," interacting face-to-face with students and creating extensive informational posts on social media.

Served as Secretary in this club. With this role, I worked to spread awareness on mental illnesses and debunk harmful stigmas surrounding them. I also worked to make the club a safe environment for everyone, ensuring that everyone feels safe, welcomed, and included. Additionally, I worked hands-on with our local hospital and created the slideshows to accompany every meeting.

I collaborated with nonprofits such as Mission Hope and Habitat for Humanity to support local initiatives.

I loved to spend time at our local animal shelter and help the workers. This ranged from refilling the dogs' waters and food bowls, drying and folding laundry, disposing of animal waste, and ensuring the animal's cages were clean and comfortable.

Contributed to CSF for four years, fulfilling a requirement of at least 10 hours of community service each semester. Engaged with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Animal Shelter Services, and Temecula’s local Rotary.

In this program, I painted a plethora of home exteriors in addition to refurbishing the front and backyards. This included raking leaves, cutting branches, sweeping, pulling weeds, and so forth.

I tutored students on topics such as literature and math at my local library. I learned how to communicate with others who think differently than I do and work together to reach a common goal, a skill I use in every social interaction today.
