Direct patient care in a high volume- micro ED setting, ortho glass splinting on patients, EKG's, also responsible for starting IV's and running a moderate complexity laboratory.

Direct patient care in a 20 bed ED, cardiac care focused but not limited to. Prepared patients for emergent cardiac procedures and surgeries, assisted in triage, frequent EKG's, telemetry, vital sign monitoring, phlebotomy, interrogated various brands of pacemakers/loop recorders, set up for bedside procedures as needed, placed splints on patients as ordered.

Extensive orthopedic patient care including pre and post op. Responsible for up to eight patients per shift. Obtained vital signs as ordered, assisted with ADL's, proficient in limitations and precautions specialized to the patients procedure. Assisted the physical therapist when needed.

Cross trained as Unit Secretary providing diligent, effective communication and duties with interdisciplinary staff.

Hired as an ED Technician, cross trained as Unit Secretary. Direct patient care in an 18 bed ED, rooming patients and placing on monitors, EKG's, phlebotomy. Learned how to splint patients with ortho glass.

Obtaining bed assignments for patients being admitted, collecting discharge paperwork, communicating with house supervisors and providers directly, breaking down charts, finding placement for SI/EOD (at risk) patients and faxing necessary paperwork.

Provided daily living assistance for long term care residents.
