Ultrasound Technologist (Per Diem)
8 Years 11 Months- Operate a selection of ultrasound machines in the general ultrasound department at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Harford Memorial Hospital, and the Kaufman Cancer Center to produce images of patients' internal organs.
- Responsible for scanning a range of ultrasound examinations efficiently and effectively including: abdomen, abdomen limited (appendix, intussusception), renal, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts (thyroid, lymphatics, testicles, breast), and neonatal heads.
- Work in collaboration with fellow sonographers, radiologists, physician assistants, and other healthcare team members to perform proper patient care and execute procedures according to protocol such as: fine needle aspirations, biopsies (liver, renal, breast, etc.), paracentesis, thoracentesis, and hip aspirations.
- Explain ultrasound examinations/procedures to patients and answer any questions necessary, provide ultrasound images/findings along with the pertinent paperwork to the radiologists in charge, and record a daily log of patients and appropriate examinations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the ultrasound rooms and equipment, restock ultrasound rooms when new supplies arrive, and responsible for restocking linens and gel.
Ultrasound Technician (Per Diem)
5 Years 9 Months- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently in an outpatient facility.
- Scan a full range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including: abdomen, renal, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, and vascular examinations (venous duplex, arterial duplex, and ABIs).
- Coordinate work schedule with lead technologist to assure workload coverage.
- Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, answer questions, and record a daily log of patients examined.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and prepare worksheets for each patient examined for doctor review.
Ultrasound Technician
5 Years 2 Months- Complete diagnostic ultrasound procedures in the Imaging Department of a 150-bed teaching hospital.
- Work independently on an off-hour shift while performing routine and stat ultrasound procedures according to the departmental protocol and policy.
- Scan a multitude of ultrasound examinations including: abdomen, renal, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, and vascular examinations (venous duplex, arterial duplex, segmental, ABIs, renal artery, and vein mappings).
- Perform patient care, consult with the radiologists, scan pertinent information, check doctor's orders, and clean and restock examination rooms.
- Proficient in hospital information systems including PACS, Meditech, and Visionrad systems.
Physical Therapy Tech/Aide
10 Years 1 Month- Assisted therapists and physical therapy assistants to allow progression throughout the day.
- Demonstrated patient exercises whileproviding patients with support and encouragement.
- Entered chart data, organized a filing system for home exercises, cleaned equipment following patient use, prepared laundry, and restocked any necessary supplies.

- Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, prepares room properly, and positions individuals accordingly for each ultrasound examination.
- Analyze patients' chart for doctor's orders, pertinent medical history, and collects important data for American Diagnostics Services billing department.
- Upload ultrasound cases to a server for radiologist review and faxes all documents to appropriate parties.
