- Conduct time-critical removals according to the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP). Conducting a removal consists of assessment to determine the size and nature of a release or spill and its potential hazards to human health and the environment, the resources needed to secure and cleanup the hazard. Once the decision to conduct a removal action is established, then documentation is developed to authorize funds and authority to proceed with the planned actions. Contracting mechanisms are initiated by performing thorough cost analyses and developing statements of work to perform the cleanup. Contractor oversight is conducted to ensure adherence to contract deliverables and to determine next steps based on current findings. A removal is generally completed within a 2-year time period and with a threshold of 1 million dollars.
- Contracting Officer Representative for the Environmental Restoration, LLC. contract for EPA. Acting as a liaison between the group of 20 EPA OSCs and the contracting partners to establish multiple task orders that are utilized to conduct assessments, removals, trainings, and emergency responses. Assist in developing project cost estimates and planning statements of work to generate task orders. Generating task orders includes communicating with finance and contracting officer partners to ensure compliance. All task order funding, timelines, and performance are closely monitored.
