Background includes diverse array of research activities in marine environments, with developed skills in data analysis, fieldwork, and scientific communication. Looking to transition into new field where these skills can be utilized and expanded. Versatile and ready to contribute to innovative projects in collaborative setting.
The Marrowstone Marine Field Station is a part of the United States Geological Survey. At the marine lab, scientists study lots of fish and the virus-born diseases affecting them in hopes of bettering the health of the marine ecosystem.
As an intern, I contributed to several studies by collecting blood, plasma, heart, or liver samples from selected fish. I also performed dissections and took part in virus research to understand how each virus attaches to certain host cells from the fish in the lab.
