Bridgitt Bradley-Brown began her career working with federally funded Trio Programs through the North Alabama Center for Educational Excellence (NACEE) programs. At NACEE, she was allowed to work locally and nationally for the newly funded AMERICORPS College Bound program. She was selected in her first year to be the Lead member for the State of Alabama and serve the National Corporation for Community Service as the region liaison. Because of her TRIO Program experience, she was awarded the Congressional Honor of AmeriCorps Service Award and later led the state of Alabama to develop and distribute funding for the High Hopes Community Service Programs throughout the state. These initiatives helped to spark new interests in the AmeriCorps programs that led to the development of more AmeriCorps Partnerships for Alabama including Teach for America.
