• Work with heavy duty power equipment and hand tools in construction and repair of outside plant cable facilities, conduit and pole lines.

• Safely load and unload required tools and material into assigned company bucket truck.

• Review and analyze complex schematic drawings to determine work to be done, methods and sequence of tasks.

• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned company vehicles and various work locations for the safety of the employee and protection of the facilities under construction.

• Use hand tools to connect wires to terminals and to attach and detach various kinds of hardware to cable, etc. Work with color coded wires.

• Use bucket truck, ladders, and/or pole climbing gaffs to perform aerial tasks safely.

• Use testing equipment to check for gas in manholes and cleans water and debris from manholes.

• Communicate and coordinate with other work groups to perform test on work in progress or completed work and obtains additional information regarding work assignment.

• Exceed job efficiency percentage demands on a daily and monthly basis.

• Obey all local, state, and federal laws.

• Checked machinery for safety, protecting personnel and equipment from harm.
• Serviced earth moving systems to promote safe and proper functioning.
• Followed safety guides and signals to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Worked in mines up to 1,400 feet underground and mined several million tons of coal from longwall faces.
• Maintained equipment in good working order by replacing and repairing components.
• Inspected work areas for hazards and successfully performed methane gas checks.
