-warmly greet customers as they enter into the restaurant.
-have host show customers to their table
-come prepared with water as you greet a table and pour water for each guest
-introduce yourself and go over the nightly specials, as well as certain wines that will pair well with entrees
-answer any guest related questions to food or beverages
-take customers order and enter it into the computer screen so it shows up in the back for the cooks
-bring out any beverages the guests have ordered
-if appetizers were ordered, clear away (or box up for later) any plates left on the table
-present the main course and ask the customer if they would like anything else with their meal. Have salt, pepper, sauces etc on hand.
-when you notice the guests are almost finished with their main course, bring up appetizers and make them sound delicious
-bring to go boxes if requested
-print bill and return to table
-run payment, and thank the guests for dining with you that evening
