- Communicate with patients to determine the purpose of the visit, record medical history, and take vital signs. Obtain medication information, symptoms, and allergies.
- Call patient's with test results, and make sure to explain said results with words that are easy to understand, instead of strictly medical terms. I also make sure that all of their questions have been answered.
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines.
- Refill medications based on provider's protocol.
- Draw blood and collect specimens to be sent out to a lab. Perform in-house testing such as, A1c, blood glucose, urine dips, HCG, and INR.
- Complete EKGs, orthostatic blood pressures, ear lavage's and any other tests requested by provider.
- Update inventory, expiration and vaccine logs to maintain current tracking documentation.
