Manage all aspects of the Photography Department including:

  • Cultivating a positive culture within all departments, always keeping photographer engagement a priority.
  • Coaching Photo Supervisors on how to provide constructive criticism in a positive manner. Worked to create engaged leaders which in turn engaged team members
  • Working to train a significant part of our team in multiple divisions to provide year round work
  • Worked with Photo Managers in other areas to support their hiring processes when they were struggling. Additionally, shared team members among other areas once the season started. This both helped our partners in other areas and made our team members feel valued because they were chosen to represent our area.
  • Created a space in the territory office that team members look forward to spending time in.
  • Lead a base staff of 100 photographers during the Fall season and a staff of 70 photographers during the Spring season across multiple divisions
  • Interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new photographers, ensuring full staff for peak busy season.
  • Completing multiple background checks following Illinois and Missiouri's strict guidelines for school contractors, including making arrangements for appointments and payment for Tuberculosis and Covid 19 testing required by multiple school districts in our Area.
  • Assisted our Photo Admins on scheduling photographers in Picture Day Scheduling across the whole area while keeping in mind both the school’s needs and photographer’s location. A Scheduling calls with our Ops and Sales Partners to discuss upcoming pay periods.
  • Keeping an even schedule among the team when possible to assist with overtime costs.
  • Oversees all aspects of training for new hires and returning employees including training the trainers, approving agendas, and providing a training space
  • Provides ongoing training throughout the season, in the field, at the office, or virtually.
  • Fully in charge of photography payroll, projections and discrepancies year over year.
  • Approve employee hours through Workforce Management on a weekly basis.
  • Successfully manages day to day photography performance and image quality.
  • Oversees all aspects of photography equipment including inventory, repair, and maintenance.
  • Motivates and conducts bi-weekly meetings (recently virtual meetings) for new processes and recognition programs offered.
