  • I tested the mil thickness of both the powder paint as sprayed and the cured paint after they came out of the oven.
  • I was responsible for doing the on-line quality inspection for all customers, touch ups when needed, as well as visual inspection and prepping the Caterpillar parts for assembly or shipping.
  • I was to tap the nuts on parts and assure that the threads were 100% paint free and that visually they met class C surface standards.
  • Several customers had different standards which I made note of as I wrote the job description and practices and standards for this job.
  • I performed 100% inspection for some.
  • I also set up an excel spreadsheet to track the paint lines daily production which I filled out for both shifts.
  • I made a separate spreadsheet to keep track of the inspections, including scrap and repaints as well as who did first and second inspections.
  • I helped the line hang parts, troubleshoot paint quality issues, maintain water and chemical levels in the wash tank, starting and stopping the washers and ovens, and general cleaning.
  • I also trained for the new quality hires.

  • I boxed offertory envelopes as they came out of the printing and folding machine at approximately 1000/box/min.
  • As they came out, I was to inspect them for correctness and quality and then stamp and label each box.
  • Boxes were stacked on a pallet or cart and once the order was completed the pallet/cart was moved for collection.
  • I cleaned my area, prepped boxes, prepared pallets, and reported quality issues to the machine adjustor.
  • I also stopped the machine if there was a problem as well as at break times.

  • I was trained to work all production roles on the bonded line including stacking products on a conveyor or pallet in rotation or as a team, turning packages, stacking packages, weighing packages, recording weights of product, running the packers, and extensive weekly clean up, etc.

  • I was a CNC Machinist in charge of up to 3 machines in a small locally owned shop.
  • I set up and run CNC machines.
  • Move, measure, and cut compressed foam material depending on job.

  • I clean my machine, tools, and area, as well as organize fresh and cut (drop) material, and take out scrap, debris, trash, skids, etc for disposal.
