• Provide comprehensive nursing care for up to 50 patients with substance use disorders in an ambulatory setting.
• Conduct detailed assessments of patients’ physical and mental health status related to addiction and co-occurring disorders.
• Administer medications for withdrawal management, including methadone, buprenorphine, and symptom-relief protocols, following physician orders.
• Monitor for signs of withdrawal, overdose, or medication side effects, and responded quickly to medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, counselors, and BHS to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on addiction, recovery processes, relapse prevention, and available support resources.

Level I Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn and Frostbite Center

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for up to five patients recovering from burn injuries, including thermal, chemical, and electrical burns.
• Perform complex wound care, including daily dressing changes, debridement assistance, and application of advanced dressings.
• Manage pain control through multimodal strategies, including IV narcotics, PCA pumps, and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate for signs of infection
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nutritionists to coordinate individualized care plans.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing burn reconstruction or skin grafting procedures.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, scar management, and rehabilitation goals for post-discharge recovery.
• Support psychological recovery by delivering trauma-informed, compassionate care to patients coping with disfigurement and pain.
• Administered medications, IV fluids, and blood products safely and accurately in a high-acuity med-surg/burn unit.
• Maintain strict infection control protocols and burn unit standards to prevent cross-contamination and nosocomial infections.

• Supported patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, with sensitivity to pain and mobility limitations.
• Provided hands-on assistance during complex dressing changes and wound care procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Monitored and reported changes in patient condition, including pain level, skin integrity, and signs of infection or fluid imbalance.
• Ensured timely and accurate recording of vital signs, intake and output, and weight as directed by the nursing team.
• Assisted with turning, positioning, and transferring patients to prevent pressure injuries and support wound healing.
